Bliiiiiiizzard!

Although I'm ready for spring, I must say that I'm enjoying being snowed in due to this crazy, blizzard like weather. I decide to drive home to my parents and get snowed in with the fam, have a nice warm fire, and mom's cooking. :) My brother came home too, which is fun. We are missing Kellye and Carrie, though. :(

Omg. I went sledding today for the first time in years. I admit it was fun. But, I probably won't sled again unless I have kids and they force me to go out. ;) I'll try and post pictures of the beauty that surrounds my parent's house. They live on the beautiful campus of Woodberry Forest School, and so the snow on the trees, the old buildings...it's simply beautimous.

Friends

I'm thankful for friends. This weekend made me realize that I have a very special group of women in my life who mean the world to me, and who I know would do anything for me. I'm confident that they will be with me through thick and thin. I hope you have been able to experience the same thing. Friendship. There's nothing like it!!

The time has come upon us!

Merry 2010! :) Hard to believe yet another year has sped past us. Just a few things I've been thinking about as it relates to the new year's resolutions we all make and then fail to actually see happen.

As I've been thinking about the new year and reading/listening to others' thoughts on new year's resolutions, here are some things that have been running through my brain:
-What is important, or critical? What are you really going to take seriously? What is a matter of "life or death"?
-Focus on either one specific thing or a few small things.
-Think of something that can be done daily. It's easy to think that our resolutions have to be this huge task at hand or that we have to make a handful of changes, but as mentioned above, think of one thing (i.e., reading through a one year Bible).
-Think about not only yourself, but those around you.

Just some thoughts. Good luck as you think through what you want to see happen in this new year. Carpe Diem! :)
